We are looking for a Senior Solution Developer for the Enterprise Tools team to play a multi-faceted role. As a Solution Developer in Tools, this person will have technical ownership for the tools in the DevOps space and will act as a SME to enable delivery and support organizations. This individual will also be responsible for driving adoption of the enterprise toolsets and act as technical consultant to delivery organizations.

Major Duties/ Responsibilities

* Performs programming in Java/J2EE or ASP.Net or Python, COTS configuration, code analysis, debugging and review, and develops and executes unit/integration tests, all at a high level of complexity.
* Creates, reviews and Detailed Technical Specifications for all DevOps and Enterprise Tools and performs the review of Technical Design for tasks of high level of complexity.
* Provides technical approval of Technical Design for tasks of medium to high level of complexity. Provides technical approval of Detailed Technical Specifications.
* Consults on the estimates for all DevOps and Tools related work across various product teams, design preparation and operational support escalations for complex DevOps Tools part of Enterprise Tools team.
* Fosters the adoption of DevOps tools and capabilities across IT product delivery teams, which include project managers, business analysts, QA testers, developers, and infrastructure engineers.
* Partners with IT product delivery and Enterprise DevOps teams to understand their capability requirements and identify, setup, configure tools to drive efficiencies and improve operational stability.
* Prepares Production Readiness documentation for implementations of medium to high level of complexity
* Acts in Development Lead capacity for medium to high initiatives, prioritizing and assigning project tasks, providing guidance and resolving issues. Reports status to Project management and interfaces with other domains, IT areas and 3rd party vendors as needed.
* Provides technical leadership for the design and implementation of all new DevOps tools and capabilities. Performs hands on implementation work, as needed.
* Maintains broad knowledge in the area of DevOps tools and capabilities.
* Partners with Enterprise DevOps teams to define and maintain best practices for DevOps tools and capabilities.
* Actively participates in new technology, vendor package and tool road mapping, evaluation and introduction.
* Partners with the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise DevOps teams to maintain and implement multi-year DevOps tools roadmaps.
* Identify gaps in the Enterprise DevOps tools and capabilities offering and works with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise DevOps to refine the DevOps roadmap.
* Actively participates in defining and enforcing the source control and release management processes and standards.
* Ensures compliance with Performance, Security, and Availability, Recoverability and Supportability standards and policies and provides Monitoring recommendations for tasks of medium to high level of complexity.
* Actively participates in evaluation of 3rd party engagement need and in SOW creation and review process.
* Works with the Systems Development Life Cycle and adheres to Sarbanes Oxley compliance and all TJX Company
* Authors sizing and detailed estimates for highly complex new project requests. Participates in the creation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models for large and complex projects. Maintains estimate artifacts for the solution designs throughout the project lifecycle.
* Performs other activities as assigned such as production support escalations, vendor RFPs, proofs of concepts, special projects.
* Expected to mentor one or more junior members of the team.

Skills/Knowledge

* Continuous delivery (deployment space) (required)
* Experience in Designing and Development of application using Java / J2EE or .NET, C# and Python programming languages
* Xebia Labs platforms such as XL Release or XL Deploy
* Strong communication skills
* Experience with thought leadership
* Agile Delivery
* Experience with at least once of the following: Ansible, UDeploy, Jenkins, Openshift or Docker
* Any additional hands on experience with a wide range of DevOps tools including JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, VSTS, Cloudbees Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Groovy, Maven, HP UFT, XL Release, XL Deploy, AppDynamics, and Splunk is preferred.
* Technology design expertise which includes Performance, Security, Availability, as well as, Operations, Monitoring and Support.
* Experience in Relational database management skills like MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, Postgres or MongoDB preferred
* Experience in any of the scripting languages like Unix Shell Scripting, Python, Perl or PowerShell
* Extensive experience utilizing DevOps within private cloud and public cloud operating environments.
* Ability to train IT product delivery teams on proper use of DevOps tools and capabilities.
* Strong consulting, leadership and mentoring skills.
* Must collaborate effectively across the IT organization and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively work both independently and within cross functional project teams that span multiple time-zones.
* Ability to understand the big picture and the short term perspectives of specific situations.
* Ability to influence others to achieve results.
* Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
* Strong mentoring skills.
* Expert knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
* Extensive experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Ability to alter direction easily to accommodate changing priorities.
* Strong knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and PCI policies and controls.

Minimum Experience

* 8-10 years in IT, specifically in the technical design, development and implementation or support of business systems.

Minimum Formal Education

Bachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience.
