Job Description

As a Solutions Architect with Motorola Solutions, you are the overall technical leadership for the project implementation. Your team will solve complex problems under your leadership by applying your technical project management, systems engineering, and leadership skills.

Your responsibilities involve the integration of the programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of a project, including:

* understanding the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution. It requires working closely with the pre and post-sales teams to align the requirements with customer solution needs.
* leading and defending the project technical and programmatic decisions. It requires identifying customer expectation mismatches and working with the project manager to mitigate them.
* tailoring and applying change management and systems engineering processes. Requires working with the customer and engineering teams when implementing solutions including third-party applications.
* developing, managing, and defending cost and schedule by working with the project manager to identify technical risks to the deployment plan and how to mitigate them.
* participating as the technical counterpart to the project manager for third-party, customer and internal meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (BS) in a technical or engineering field or Associates Degree in a technical field; or equivalent experience (8+ years) in delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts

Demonstrates proficiency in 3-4 domains listed in the details below.

Domain Knowledge

The following are the domains of knowledge and experience for the team. A Solutions Architect should develop a working knowledge in all domains. Proficiency and experience with domains are required for those identified as Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Foundations

Technical understanding of the infrastructure

Possesses working knowledge of common interfaces for CAD, CC, RMS, and LMR.

Leadership

Technical Project Management, Foundations Mentoring, Lean Six-Sigma

Leading Teams

Advanced Technical knowledge in PremierOne as a Suite and how the CAD, CC, RMS, LMR, and other solutions relate

Infrastructure

Management and configuration of all virtualized infrastructure to include:

appliances, applications, directory services, monitoring, operating systems, databases, network, and storage

Infrastructure knowledge of PremierOne CAD & RMS, Motorola LMR, and Command Central solutions.

PremierOne CAD

Technical understanding of the PremierOne CAD solution and how it relates to other solutions

Works with customers to design and document interfaces to PremierOne CAD

Understands the details and risks involved with running the Server Configuration Tool

Works with customers and engineering teams to design, document, and implement highly complex interfaces to PremierOne CAD

Works with Pre-Sales teams on defining specifications

PremierOne RMS

Technical understanding of the PremierOne RMS solution and how it relates to other solutions

Works with customers to design and document interfaces to PremierOne RMS

Understands the details and risks involved with running the Server Configuration Tool

Works with customers and engineering teams to design, document, and implement highly complex interfaces to PremierOne RMS

Works with Pre-Sales teams on defining specifications

Motorola LMR

Technical understanding of ASTRO P-25 data services and radio subscribers

Understand the how to configure Intelligent Middleware (IMW) with ASTRO P-25 Location and\\or Messaging

Technical understanding of the ASTRO Outdoor Location Solution (OLS) and how PremierOne integrates with it

Technical knowledge of PremierOne Messaging with the ASTRO P-25 LMR system

Works with Pre-Sales teams on defining specifications

Command Central

Technical understanding of the CC Suite: Aware, both on-premise and SaaS, and Inform

Integration with PremierOne CAD & RMS, Motorola LMR, and Avigilon solutions.

Works with customers and Engineering to design and document highly complex interfaces to PremierOne RMS

Works with Pre-Sales teams on defining specifications
