CGI is seeking a Software Tester who is responsible for development of test strategies, plans, scripts, and cases on large, complex projects. Testing includes functional, non-functional, user acceptance, integration, and performance tests. Ensures traceability of test cases back to requirements. Will partner with the QA Lead to manage the test execution portion of the project, reporting to the Project Manager. This includes test execution planning, test environment planning, status reporting, defect tracking, and vendor coordination. Hands-on Software Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for design review and software testing.

This position can be located in either Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN!

Your future duties and responsibilities:

~Develop test strategy and test plans including task schedules and business resource assignments.

~Assist leading the test stream of the project. Develop a work breakdown structure and resource plan to be incorporated into the master project plan.

~Assist managing test resources' work assignments and deliverables.

~Accomplish vendor coordination during the test cycle. Ensure coordination between vendor and client for core product defect fixes and product configuration defect fixes.

~Review project requirements and define the test strategy.

~Manage the creation and updating of test cases.

~Ensure that testers evaluate discrepancies between expected results and actual results of test execution.

~Ensure that defects are appropriately recorded.

~Manage the defect lifecycle. Provide dashboard reporting and trend analysis.

~Provide test execution status reporting.

~Collaborate with other test leads to help develop and improve existing test methodology and processes.

~Reports to project manager.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

~Demonstrated experience managing a complex testing effort.

~Minimum 5 years of testing experience, with participation on projects with a $5M project budget or greater.

~Experience in coordinating testing in large multi-platform environments involving complex integrations and geographically dispersed teams.

~Experience developing structured test plans and detailed test cases through analysis of complex business and technical requirements and high level design deliverables.

~Ability to prioritize testing based on risk.

~Experience in QA Process Development

~Experience mentoring others in QA best practices.

~Experience with Structured Test Planning, QA Tracking software - Rational experience preferred.

~Experience working within the utility or energy industry and with OT technologies such as SCADA.

~Experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) a plus.

~Experience in training development and administration a plus.

~Minimal travel is required.
