As the Software Technical Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage end to end ownership of overall software solutions for innovative graphics products. As part of our cross-functional program management team you will help shape the future of strategic customer programs that require unique graphics solutions for their platforms. Solid program management of various software development teams, monitoring the quality of the resulting software deliverables and a strong partnership with the Customer Support teams are a few of the things required to ensure customer programs are enabled and hit production on time.

The ability to establish and drive to goals including plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance and quality will be critical to success. A passion for creating plans and working with a diverse team of development engineers, program managers and product managers is required for this highly visible role. Being comfortable working with senior executives is a hard requirement. You must address the various needs and requirements called upon from AMD's Product Management, Software Engineering, Customer Engineering and Software PMO organizations. You must exhibit excellence in balancing the needs of the Customer Program with Software Development Work Flows and Processes. This includes carefully documenting, communicating and executing to software program commitments, yet finding ways to address issues and risks whenever they arise (including those from the customer support team). You are ultimately responsible for software delivery for high profile customer programs that will receive senior executive attention on a weekly basis (minimum).

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of program management, impeccable track record of delivering complex software programs, and experience with Windows, Linux and ChromeBook based systems and their respective software driver and firmware models. Working experience in graphics and/or CPU products is strongly desired.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

1. Minimum 7+ years proven Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

3. Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience

4. Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution team (Asia and North America emphasis)

5. Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Bachelor Degree

6. Familiarity with the Semi-Conductor industry, especially the various functions of graphics driver software.

7. PMP certification is required

8. Agile development or Certification is a bonus
