Abiomed has an immediate opportunity for Software Engineers II. This position is eligible for the Abiomed, Inc. Employee Referral Incentive Program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide software engineering support to the Impella Connect team by developing infrastructure solution for continuously giving feedback to the developed software (continuous integration) for the different components for both the existing cloud and firmware environments;
* Install, monitor, and maintain the continuous integration and delivery (on premises and cloud) infrastructure, including git, Jenkins, and Nexus;
* Install, monitor, and maintain the software development and project management tools, including JIRA, Confluence, and Jama;
* Install, monitor, and maintain software development toolsets including IDE's, compilers, and Static and Dynamic analysis toolsets;
* Develop, maintain, and optimize the Azure cloud infrastructure;
* Configure, operate, and maintain Cisco Meraki network; and
* Recommend and implement strategies for improvement in efficiency, scalability, and performance in a medical device software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment.

Required Qualifications:

Employer requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidate must also have at least two (2) years of work experience in providing software engineering support to medical device teams by developing infrastructure solutions for continuously giving feedback to the developed software (continuous integration) for different components of existing cloud and firmware environments.

In addition, the employer requires the candidate to have the following:

* Demonstrated knowledge of and capability to install, monitor, and maintain the continuous integration and delivery (on premises and cloud) infrastructure, including git, jenkins, nexus, containerization tools docker with kubernetes, and scripting languages Python, Bash, Groovy on at least two (2) medical device projects and at least two (2) years of work experience;
* Demonstrated knowledge of and capability to install, monitor, and maintain the software development and project management infrastructure, including Jira, Confluence, and Jama on at least two ( medical device projects and at least two (2) years of work experience;
* Demonstrated knowledge of and capability to install, monitor, and maintain software development toolsets gained through more than five (5) IDE's/compilers;
* Demonstrated knowledge of and capability to install, monitor, and maintain software development toolsets including static and dynamic analysis toolsets QAC, Coverity, and Momentics;
* Demonstrated ability in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the Azure cloud infrastructure gained through two (2) years of work experience;
* Demonstrated ability to configure, operate, and maintain Cisco Meraki network gained through two (2) years of work experience; and
* Demonstrated ability in recommending and implementing strategies for improvement in efficiency, scalability, and performance in a medical device software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment gained through two (2) years of work experience.

All years of work experience may be gained concurrently.
