Description:The IFG IMIS software manager will lead a set of agile teams, consisting of software and systems engineers, that are responsible for software development, integration and testing of the F-22 maintenance system, IMIS. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating employee work assignments, performance assessment, salary, recruitment, and recognition/disciplinary actions, technical coaching and mentoring, employee career development and providing continuous feedback. They oversee the requirements, design, development, testing, qualification, and documentation of the Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) while contributing to the completion of major IMIS milestones associated with specific programs/projects. The successful candidate applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle and ensures software standards are met. They will help lead a software development transformation to leverage commercial tools/practices as well as automation. The successful candidate will have to complete a full spectrum leadership interview.
Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in systems engineering, software development, integration, and/or testing in a leadership role.
Understanding of software development processes.
Process improvement experience.
Agile methodology and tools, automated testing and continuous integration.
Leading a development team.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of C++ and Java;
Expertise in Software Estimation techniques.
Complex system development experience.
Experience in Systems Engineering or other Organizations.
Staff management (performance management, merit, promotions, hiring, training skill development, etc.) experience.
Experience mentoring and coaching.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
Excellent communication and Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) skills.
