American Specialty Health, Inc. is seeking Software Engineering Interns to join our growing organization. We are looking for creative and analytical problem-solvers to join one our growing Information Technology teams and help us continue to improve our products and processes so that our members and customers can reach their goals. Responsibilities

* Work as part of a team of developers
* Contribute to enterprise-level web programming projects
* The depth and breadth of the projects will depend on intern's experience and knowledge

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:

* How to build and design enterprise level applications.
* C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, AJAX, and JQuery.
* MS SQL 2008 including stored procedures and table design.
* MVC, HTML5.0, CSS 3, mobile JQuery, and mobile websites.

Qualifications

* Intern must be pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science. High school diploma required.
* Experience with object-oriented programming in an academic, hobbyist, or commercial environment required
* Experience with web development programming in a client/server setup required
* Experience with relational database design, writing queries and stored procedures with MySQL or Microsoft SQL required

Mobility

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak clearly, see, and hear other personnel and/or objects. Physically capable to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, and climb. Capable of using hand tools and manipulation of small parts. Frequently lifting equipment up to 40 lbs.

Environmental Conditions

Normal office setting, minor noise, frequent interruptions. Occasional dust accumulation around and in equipment.
