The Ziff Davis Tech & Commerce Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer with a web development background. This will be a full-time position with benefits located in Austin, Texas.

As an engineer at Ziff Davis you would be working closely with our product team to build beautiful websites that champion the user. Within a quarter, you could go from implementing a redesign of the home page for Couponcodes.com, to creating a global repository of ad scans to be used on Offers.com, Blackfriday.com, and BestBlackFriday.com, to creating a CMS using Laravel's new Nova framework for PCMag.com.

In this position you should strive to always be learning and growing. Our goal is to help you improve your understanding of maintainable software design, allowing you to implement elegant coding solutions that solve real problems.

What we're expecting from you:

* A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
* 2+ Years experience working with MVC frameworks (Laravel, Zend Framework, Rails, etc).
* Own and solve problems from end-to-end.
* Experience working with relational databases.
* Experience building user interfaces utilizing Javascript.
* Ability to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems with large codebases.
* Professionalism with the ability to work both with teams and individually.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product team, design team and engineering teammates.
* Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebases and processes you will encounter.
