Twitch is building the future of interactive entertainment, and video is at the very core of that vision. Twitch's Video Transcoder Engineering team is looking for experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of its video backend platform.

If you are passionate about media, streaming, or obsessed about performance and want to use your strong software development skills in creating the best video streaming platform, then this position is for you. You will work with an extremely talented and accomplished team in the video space and will be building a major component of a video pipeline that scales to the highest live video traffic currently. You will gain an in-depth knowledge on a highly scalable, end to end live video streaming platform as well as the latest video compression technologies.

Responsibilities

* Develop our video backend platform by adding new technologies and improve current pipeline
* Work with the rest of the video platform teams to successfully deliver new features and product
* Participate in the decision making process
