Senior Staff Software Engineer, Contrail Cloud Engineering

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer for our Contrail Cloud team. Contrail is an exciting product development virtualizing and unifying networking systems across private and public cloud systems worldwide.

The candidate should have a strong background in software development, infrastructure, automation and a passion to work in a complex environment meeting the needs of network systems worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in delivering products related to cloud network infrastructure. The candidate will have experience designing systems that operate at scale working across on premise and public cloud environments.

Requirements:

* Skills in Python, C++, or Go software development
* Excellent problem solving ability
* Knowledge of Cassandra, Zookeeper, or Postgres systems
* Understanding of public cloud environments: AWS, GCP, or Azure
* Experience in production software delivery, life cycle management, software process and methodology
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* BS/MS in Computer Science or STEM degree with 3+ years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in workload orchestration systems: Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker, Mesos and Linux virtualization
* Knowledge of Software Defined Networking, software defined storage and configuration management
* Appreciation of L2 and L3 IP networking systems and concepts
* Knowledge of Service Provider, Enterprise Network and Cloud architectures
