The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Linux-based Operating Systems for real-time embedded systems on Navy Submarine, Surveillance, Surface Ship, and Aviation programs.

Will be expected to participate in all phases of development to include: high level design, detailed design, development, and Integration and Test.

The primary tasks will be taking a standard Linux operating system distribution, such as RHEL, and configuring it to provide optimal performance in a real-time system.

Job will include providing guidance and tasking to more junior engineers as well as helping to grow their Linux/SW knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

* Completed B.S. in SW Eng/Comp Eng/Comp Sci or similar/related
* Proficient working in Linux/Unix operating system environment
* Strong knowledge in Linux command line and applying cyber-security updates to Linux systems
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with planning SW development tasks
* Experience in developing the architecture for custom Linux solutions
