At Yelp, the Core Services team builds infrastructure, tools and libraries for Python backend services, including the server side of our mobile apps. Our mission is to allow Python backend developers to ship features quickly and efficiently and to provide them with the infrastructure they need to build robust and scalable features for our millions of users.

What You Will Do:

* Design, build and deploy scalable and reliable infrastructure for backend services and APIs.
* Innovate, design, and implement new tools and systems that will improve the development process.
* Work closely with other engineers within your group and across the entire product engineering organization to solve complex problems.
* Write code, document, participate in code reviews, and mentor other engineers.
* Support the software your team develops

What We Are Looking For:

* BS in Computer Science or a related field
* Experience of systems and application design, with an understanding of operational and reliability trade-offs
* Experience building scalable infrastructure platforms for microservices
* Experience designing APIs for backend services
* Experience building large-scale distributed systems
* Experience with containerization technologies such as docker, kubernetes, etc.
* The ability to dive into a new codebase and quickly fix bugs or add features
* Proficient in one of Python, Java,C++, or Go
* 4+ years of relevant industry experience, if you have less than 1 year of experience please consider applying for our New Grad positions.
