Responsibilities

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Quality Engineering, to join our rapidly growing team, building next generation ITOM (IT Operations Management) as a Service solution. The team is looking for passionate developers, who are in search of an exciting environment and innovative technology. As a Senior Software Engineer - Quality Engineering, you will be a member of a strong team of developers working on some of the company's core applications.

You will write code that ships in production as well as write top-notch test code that will enhance the quality of our product.

About the Team:

The Discovery & MID Server teams build the core foundational components and frameworks that the ITOM offering is built on.

Discovery enables customers to have a precise understanding of the various assets (hardware and software) that power their enterprise and enables them to make critical business decisions using that information.

The Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery (MID) Server is a Java application that runs as a Windows service or UNIX daemon on a server in your local network. The MID Server facilitates communication and the movement of data between a ServiceNow instance and external applications, data sources, and services.

You will be joining a group of experts developing automation testing using Java, JavaScript, Karma and Selenium.

Required Skills & Experience

* Passion for software development, testing and problem-solving
* Developing with Java and/or JavaScript
* High energy and an aptitude for learning new technologies
* Experience working within a wide variety of automated testing frameworks, including Java, JUnit, Selenium, Karma, TestNG and other open-source projects.
* Solid written and verbal communication in English
* Self-starter, with a quick learning curve
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent experience

Desired Skills

* Knowledge of cloud technology and distributed computing
* Experience with agile software development lifecycle
* Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins).
* Experience with Linux / UNIX platform-based deployments.
