Azure Networking is the team behind Microsoft cloud infrastructure. Physical Networking team is responsible for the data center networks, that enable cloud services. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for a passionate, high energy individual to help build the network that powers the world's largest online services. Phynet/CIE Network Engineering group is responsible for providing Network Design, Implementation, Engineering and support various 1st party groups in Microsoft and this team is critical to the success of Microsoft, as services are rapidly growing and so is the need for an increasingly reliant network.

Desired Skills:

* Network Switching and routing protocols
* Experience working on Cisco, Juniper or Arista network devices.
* Knowledge of API design such as Netconf, RESTful API, XML APIs, and SNMP.
* Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP and AnyCase
* Leadership, coordination and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently on complex tasks
* Solid System Design and Dev skills
* Experience with performance optimization of low-level code
* Ability to work with multiple partner teams and external vendors to drive impact

Passion and drive for profound impact

Required Skills:

* 5+ years of experience in languages such as, C#, Python, Powershell, and PERL.
* BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

We are looking for a Software Engineer II with strong knowledge in Network Programming and experience with C# and scripting languages such as Python, with strong experience in networking technologies such as Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, etc. You should feel comfortable working with as well as designing large-scale distributed systems It is not necessary, but familiarity with network protocols, network devices include network interface cards, switches and routers is a plus.
