Software Engineer - MATLAB Online

We're looking for a creative engineer to be part of a team building a modern, standards-based web application. You'll work on a forward thinking, cross-functional engineering team that likes to get things done and deliver well-crafted, high quality solutions. In this position, you will directly contribute to the MATLAB Online platform, by both providing foundational services and extending the platform to new business areas (such as online learning and interactive examples).

Responsibilities

* Design and implement a modern JavaScript/HTML5/CSS application
* Design and implement reusable web UI components and services
* Develop quality, well-tested (and testable) solutions
* Collaborate in a fast-paced agile environment
* Prepare and present design specifications to colleagues

Minimum Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
* Experience with JavaScript

Additional Qualifications

* Web application design experience
* Strong knowledge of both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
* Knowledge of authentication standards, including OAuth
* Previous experience with MATLAB
* Experience with cloud-based, scalable applications
* Experience with C++ (for highly performant web services)
