How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

Working as part of cross-functional teams, you will develop high-quality features for our Java based, multi-platform, multi-discipline environment. You will be accountable for delivering high quality code, supporting solutions in-line with the needs of a 24/7 service with 5 9's uptime. Our processes at Worldpay rely on solid architectural, design and development principles such as test-driven development, pair programming and technical debt control.

We want engineers that take pride in writing high quality software, building, testing and maintaining robust systems and enjoy working on the entire stack, front to back. Also, we expect each of our engineers to be evangelists for best practices, as well as act as mentors, leading other engineers to build their competencies.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

Our ideal candidate must have a genuine passion for software development and experience writing clean code. You should also have knowledge of application security and agile ways of working, such as Kanban, test-driven development and continuous delivery. We will want you to demonstrate strong Java programming skills with unit testing framework experience, proficiency with SQL, relational data modeling, and source code control. Experience with Kafka and Zookeeper are a plus.
