Job Description:

The F-35 Tech Refresh 3 (TR3) Integration & Test (I&T) software engineer is responsible for integration and test activities at the F-35 prime contractor's laboratory to ensure proper system functionality. This will include support for the full F-35 TR3 family of programs-Aircraft Memory System (AMS), Panoramic Cockpit Display (PCD), and Integrated Core Processor (ICP)-throughout the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase and transition to production. This represents over $4B (and growing) of Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) backlog & pipeline and is a critical enterprise in the Segment. The I&T software engineer shall directly partner with both the customer and the L3Harris TR3 leadership team and is expected to have regular interface with both parties.

Job Responsibilities include the following:

* Serve as the central engineering liaison resource for all F-35 TR3 software integration and test activities at prime contractor's laboratory in Fort Worth, TX.
* Act as subject matter expert to help aid in initial integration activities during install and startup, as well as system troubleshooting or deviations in expected performance seen during operation
* Recommend modifications to code, approach, and/or system design, as well as bench test or acceptance procedures, as appropriate
* Ensure that products/projects delivered meet customer requirements and specifications.
* Communicate with on-site prime contractor personnel and Harris leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering and 6+ years' experience, OR, Master's Degree in Science or Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience
* 4+ years with embedded software fundamentals and the ability to code, integrate, and troubleshoot complex designs
* Relevant integration and test experience on complex military systems
* Direct Government customer interface experience (e.g. US Air Force, US Navy, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with LynxOS and Linux device drivers, C++, Real-time/Low-level software, BSPs, Ethernet, Built-In-Test, NFS, experience with 1394 / fiber channel / 1553 driver development
* Knowledgeable of safety-critical software development / DO-178 or similar industry standards
* Solid integration and test experience on complex systems with a focus on mission computing, memory systems, and/or displays
* Experience in a systems engineering role with a complex design
* Working knowledge of interfaces and handoffs with digital engineering (FPGAs, CCAs, PWBs, etc.)
* Direct Government customer interface experience (e.g. US Air Force, US Navy, etc.)
* Experience with executing throughout the full Avionics lifecycle including requirements flow-down and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment
* Ability to work well across multiple engineering disciplines
