Accuity is growing! We are a market leading online brand growing our customer base and seeking a strong Java developer with experience in Agile website development and large data sets at Accuity's River North office in Chicago. This position is focused on developing Accuity Payments enterprise products. Our products are used by the banking industry, as well as companies that wish to ensure reliable payment transfers. Our database has every bank office in the world. Our content team updates that data every day to ensure that our customers have the latest, most reliable data needed to process cross-border and domestic payments. Developers create features on our interactive website, as well as data ETL. You will be working in a cross-functional team, working alongside colleagues from a variety of technical and commercial functions. We are an agile like company that focuses on leveraging technology and business data. Candidates should be able to implement and test features and solve problems independently, but comfortable collaborating with other developers and testers.

We are a technology driven business and the technical landscape here is both advanced and constantly changing as we explore new and more efficient/effective ways of creating our products; we also work with a number of industry leading technology partners who keep us on top of our game.

Experience and Education

* 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
* BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Key Responsibilities

* Interface with the product team and team members to finalize requirements.
* Implement coding and SDLC best practices, and assist others through code and design reviews.
* Operate in an Agile development environment while collaborating with key stakeholders.
* Resolve technical issues as necessary, including security vulnerabilities.
* Keep abreast of new technology developments.
* Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills

* Expertise with Java/J2EE/Spring and single-page website development.
* Experience with development frameworks including or similar to: Junit, Mockito, BackboneJS, XML.
* Experience managing large data stores with tools including or similar to: ElasticSearch, MariaDB, MongoDB.
* Knowledge in developing with applicable tool sets, including or similar to: Git, Groovy, Gradle, Jenkins, IntelliJ.
* Knowledge of test-driven development.
* Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
* Good oral and written communications skills.
