The Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning Engineering (CSCP-E) group within Azure is an exciting and fast evolving engineering group within Microsoft that powers Microsoft's Cloud-First mission. Azure is going through hyper growth with an expectation to grow 10x in near future. We are responsible for designing, building and operating Microsoft Azure's cloud infrastructure.

CSCP-E Analytics team is looking for an experienced, self-driven, analytical Business Intelligence engineer. In this role, you will be building an intelligent data-driven, near real time supply chain analytics platform that provides end to end visibility into Capacity Planning, Supply Chain and infrastructure deployment. You will use machine learning to provides insights into potential risks, build causation framework that helps in identifying root cause and proactively suggest remediation plan that will help in continuous optimization, cost savings and improve profitability. Our goal is to build an intelligent data & analytics platform that provide the right information to the right decision maker at the right time and enables supply chain ecosystem that delivers the right hardware at right times with lowest cost

Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
* 5 Years' Experience developing with cloud-based technologies, including relational databases, data warehouse, big data (i.e. Hadoop, Spark), orchestration/data pipeline tools.

Preferred:

* Proficient in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing, or similar skills
* Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services
* Experience with Agile software development using the scrum methodology.
* Experience in modern DevOps practices (including Git, CI/CD)
* Strong business acumen and adaptability to partner with the leadership on innovative solutions to constantly changing business requirements
* Exposure to C#, REST API, Cosmos DB, Service Fabric, Azure cloud infrastructure, OData & GraphQL
* Good interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Preferred experience/skills:

* Graduate degree in computer science, business, mathematics, statistics, economics, or others quantitative field
* Familiarity with statistical models and data mining algorithms
* Experience with Hadoop or other map/reduce "big data" systems and services.

The ideal candidate will possess combination of software engineering, data engineering and strong business acumen skills that will help them be successful in the role. The successful candidate will work in lockstep with Software Engineers, Data scientists, Business analysts, Product Managers and other stakeholders across organization. Your responsibility will include the following:

* Design & develop analytical platform that will enable insights to analyze and measure the rhythm of business
* Drive architectural design across the engineering team using Microsoft's latest software and services and/or 3rd party or open source software as appropriate to drive operational excellence on a fast-growing, highly technical team
* Developing ETL platform to acquire and integrate data from diverse sources like Azure Data Lake, Kusto, SQL Server, Cosmos, flat files etc.
* Create Near Real Time semantic model to support business operational requirement
* Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
* Create reports / dashboards using Microsoft technologies like Power BI, Lens Explorer, enable self service
* Create analytical model, performing analyses on data to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and providing insights from data. You will partner and collaborate with engineering groups, business stakeholders to predict Supply Chain & Deployment Milestones and identify risks that will help in proactive mitigation and smooth deployment
