Job Description

We are looking for a senior software engineer to help us build V1 offering of compute on the Edge, we are closely working with our partners for the first version of this offering as talked here: https://techblog.comsoc.org/2019/02/27/att-tests-5g-and-edge-computing-with-microsoft-azure/

We are a team that operates in startup mode with focus on delivering next generation compute stack for addressing bleeding edge scenarios that propel Azure against competition. This is a rare opportunity to define and drive the next frontier of compute infrastructure that can meet the ever growing compute demand and optimize utilization of the hardware through allocation algorithms and packing. While we are a production team, we work very closely with an applied research team so we are able to stay abreast of the latest cutting edge research, as well as participate in research publications.

* 2+ years of coding in Java/C#/C++
* BS or MS degree in Computer science or 4 years of equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Delivering cloud services in an engineering role
* Distributed systems design and analysis experience
* Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
