The COSINE (Core OS & Intelligent Edge) Data team is looking for a software engineer to join our team. Top candidates will have a record of building high scale data services that provide key insights from data with experience on Machine Learning engineering.
Our team builds services that contribute to our business improving the quality of experiences in the OS and the Intelligent Edge. The team offers an opportunity to focus on a variety of data engineering and data science techniques while learning deep knowledge on many aspects of our core business. As a Software Engineer in the team, you will help build robust cloud-based services at a massive scale that use machine learning and other techniques to provide the best experiences to our customers. A practical knowledge of Data Science in general is beneficial for this role but not required.

* Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related engineering discipline or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of software engineering experience using Java, Scala, C# or C++/C
* Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-based service development (eg Azure Service Fabric)
* Experience building large scale data systems
* Previous experience building Machine Learning based systems.
* Knowledge of Deep Learning libraries (Tensorflow, Pytorch, etc)
* Practical experience using one or more of the following technologies: Spark, SQL/NoSQL (ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, Impala, etc.)

You will work with a team of engineers and data scientists to build ML-infused services on Azure. This role requires engineers who can work effectively in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from building prototypes, requirement gathering, creating solid designs and developing high quality code. As a member of the team, you will ship services that host complex models and algorithms to process critical user data at a massive scale. Preferred candidates will have distributed systems, big data engineering and machine learning background.
