Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer II to be part of the build out of our next generation Bidding and User Data platforms and join our Bidding team. Fueled by Big Data and Data Science, our real-time bidders identify the ideal video campaign to display while maximizing customer KPIs and profitability. Our systems follow modern microservices architecture and are highly performant, scalable, and extensible. Our applications span the spectrum from three-tier applications to ultra-fast, data-driven decisioning and aggregating TB of data to perform in-depth analytics.

* 100,000 bid requests per second
* 40ms average bid response time
* 6 B events processed daily
* 2 PB of data in our DW
* 10 TB NoSQL cluster for user & fraud data

What you will do:

You will continue improving our existing bidding systems, user and fraud data stores while building the next generation bidding stack with an eye on a global rollout of our Bidding platforms. You will dig through profilers and optimize request performance, continue pushing the response times lower while independanty leading projects. You will have a direct impact in Tremor's revenue and profitability and write systems that powers billions of requests per day at low latencies.

* A proven track record of delivering highly-scaled distributed systems including proficiency with caching and NoSQL data stores, and a keen awareness of the importance of logging and monitoring
* A strong eye for design, and an affection for simplicity and maintainability
* A deep technical foundation and an insatiable curiosity to keep learning.
