At FRL, we are developing the future of virtual and augmented reality. As a Graphics Software Engineer specializing in Tools and Infrastructure, you will work with a variety of teams as we determine how to best solve the needs of both our internal and external graphics software developers and content creators. We're seeking veterans of the industry to be a part of our team in Redmond, WA. This full-time position requires experience creating and implementing development infrastructure and tooling to solve graphics problems.
* Develop and optimize tools designed for our custom hardware systems * Develop systems and applications for internal and external engineers and content creators * Work with and support a wide variety of development platforms * Work across the entire software stack from the hardware through the application layer * Design and implement internal infrastructure and tools for research and prototyping
* 5+ years industry experience. * 3 or more years of C++ experience, including modern C++ features. * Working knowledge of graphics concepts from hardware through high-level APIs. * Experience with graphics hardware and software and knowledge of existing technologies as well as supporting novel graphics hardware and techniques. * Experience operating autonomously. * Interpersonal experience with the experience collaborating and working across teams.
* Experience working with hardware design teams. * Understanding of advanced display technologies and related processing. * Understanding of real-time computer graphics, including GPU hardware, modern APIs, and the graphics pipeline. * Familiarity with existing graphics tools and technologies for performance analysis, debugging and content creation.
