We believe in:

* Recognize and tradeoff between short-term and long-term infrastructure and make them explicit
* Empathy up and down, left and right and both within and external to the organization
* Egoless engineers and managers and empowerment leads to self-managing
* Low barriers to entry, inclusion first, and diversity makes the team and results better
* Having fun, exercising humility, and practicing growth

Responsibilities

* Develop web apps for lab directors, curators, and genetic counselors to work with our data in scalable and efficient ways.
* Design and implement genetic risk calculations as well as genetic reports that are clear and easy to understand.
* Develop ETL pipelines for tracking external datasets (allele frequencies, clinical data) and combining with our internal data and systems.
* Design and implement algorithms for classifying mutations and summarizing our sample data.
* Drive best practices for development, code review, testing, and deployment that will ensure the shipment of quality code into production
* Develop new organization integrations from the ground up and maintain existing point to point integrations
* Work closely with cross functional managers and individual stakeholders to build complete, creative solutions
* Collaborate and communicate openly with your peers and others in the organization
* Dive deep into our systems to become a subject matter expert
* Embracing forward movement over perfection with agile iteration
