Do you love making games? Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a gameplay engineer for an unannounced title. Specifically, we need someone with experience with in-game camera design and combat systems who is willing to get into the details and work with colleagues to explore game feel and moment-to-moment experience. Any broader knowledge and familiarity with other gameplay systems, like AI, pathing, animation, and client/server replication, would also be beneficial.
Working alongside a small team from various disciplines, you will be instrumental in roughing out our first prototypes. We will iterate, fail, and try new things as we establish the code, culture, and character of the engineering on the project. So, what are you waiting for?
* Collaborate with designers and artists to implement prototypes of core gameplay mechanics. * Work on core gameplay systems, including camera, combat abilities, attributes, and AI.
* C++ programming experience in a team environment. * Experience using a modern commercial game engine (Unreal, Unity, Frostbite, etc.)
* Shipped at least one game. * Demonstrated knowledge of various game systems including cameras and combat systems.
Required Application Materials:
* Resume * Cover Letter answering the question "What is great about starting a new project?"
