Software Engineer, Full-stack (Web UI Development)

The core mission of this team is to provide a world-class security analytics platform to our enterprise customers.

We will accomplish this by building best of breed technology for pattern recognition, pattern discovery, user and entity behavioral anomaly detection with strong models of the protected network, users, and known threats, and investigation workflow. All of these will be integrated with Sumo Logic's world-class log management capabilities already in use by thousands of enterprise customers worldwide.

Sumo Logic, and the security analytics team (SANA), believe in raising the cost of operations for the adversary by creating durable and contextually rich countermeasures.

As a member of this team you will be expected to serve as the subject matter expert, lead construction of security content, oversee cross-customer data collection and interpretation, and contribute to the overall direction of security analytics at Sumo Logic.

Responsibilities

Produce and test durable Web user interfaces using React for network security capabilities built on top of a log management product. Participate in creation and maintenance of RESTful services on the backend.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who is able to see the big picture of how their design impacts the client experience. Required skills will span JavaScript at the front end to basic interaction with Java/Scala on the back end.

* 3+ years work experience in a production environment with JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
* 1+ years experience with React framework
* 1+ years experience with Java or Scala
* Product development work preferred to special projects or consulting
* Solid understanding of browser fundamentals, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/jQuery
* Unit Testing framework experience with jasmine, qunit, karma or similar
* Experience in a SaaS environment a big plus
* Experience in log management and system administration a plus
* B.S. or higher in Computer Sciences or related discipline
