Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for building a modern, standards based web UI platform; producing user interfaces that run on the web; performing core framework development that is central to the evolution of MathWorks products; designing and implementing a multi-device, modern JavaScript/HTML5/CSS platform; designing and implementing reusable web UI components; delivering well tested and testable solutions; collaborating in a fast paced Agile environment; preparing and presenting design specifications to colleagues; and coordinating with other groups to make their vision a reality.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems and no experience.
OR
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in JavaScript-based UI web application development.
Special Requirements:
* Demonstrated expertise in web design and development including rich internet content using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. * Demonstrated expertise in design and development of reusable web components using JavaScript and Dojo and jQuery web frameworks. * Demonstrated expertise applying unit and system level testing methodologies to JavaScript web UIs using QUnit. * Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing UI features for MATLAB based tools, including design or modification of autofix and class inspector features.
