The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of production quality image processing and computer vision algorithms for our next-generation microscope. The candidate will be motivated, dynamic, and comfortable with a fast-paced small team environment. The candidate will work closely with other members of a multidisciplinary team to create high quality and high performing solutions.
What You'll Do
* Development of computer vision and image processing algorithms for microscope image processing, cell tracking, cell lineage tracking, feature extraction/tracking, noise mitigation * Development of manageable, object-oriented, and intuitive software modules using python * Development algorithms always keeping the end-user in mind
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field * 2+ years of industry experience although strong recent graduates or advanced degree recipients will be considered * Proficiency in python development with a commitment to writing clean, manageable, and stable code * Code optimization for real time processing, particularly using CUDA * Excellent OpenCV and TensorFlow experience * Strong understanding of the live cell brightfield and fluorescence microscopy imaging pipeline * Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem solver * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and small team environment * Excellent communication skills
Nice to Have
* Experience using GCP (Google Cloud Platform) * Experience with building microscopes or other imaging devices * Microsoft Visual Studio development experience
