Location/Division Specific Information

We are seeking an Algorithm Development Engineer to join our research and development team responsible for the development of next generation electrical failure analysis products. The group is responsible for developing advanced integrated circuits analysis and circuit editing tools to meet the demands and challenges of advanced processing of semiconductor integrated circuits (IC) that lie at the core of the Hi-Tech world.

How will you make an impact?

The candidate will collaborate with the Application development and software engineering teams to improve our existing products and develop our next generation of products.

What will you do?

* Implement and optimize accurate and efficient machine automation and computer vision algorithms for our Nano-prober and other products with focus on reliability and robustness.
* Explore and introduce open source implementation of algorithms
* Design and implement application software in C# and .NET framework
* Improve user experience through software automation & UI enhancements
* Understand & maintain automated processing scripts
* Responsible for functional and system testing
* Participate in product development in project teams across different geographies. May have to stay at different locations for extended period of time. Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally

How will you get here?

Education:

Bachelor/Master/PhD degrees with a concentration in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Expertise in C#/C++, and algorithm development language (Matlab or Python) is essential; working knowledge of cloud platform computing is a plus
* Knowledge and experience of latest open source code on computer vision, machine learning is a plus
* Working knowledge of Visual Studio .Net, Winforms development
* Agile development experience
* Hardware integration experience
* Knowledge of source control and software design process
* Software testing and automation experience
* Familiarity with a scripting language, such as Java Script, Python, Perl, SQL
* Creative problem solver and resourceful
* Proficient in data analysis and statistical modeling
* Excellent written and verbal communication
