We are seeking a strong, experienced software engineer who will lead the technical design, development and launch of a new global system that will serve finance needs worldwide. Their leadership will deliver a new system and set of services that will be at the core of making it easier for customers and vendors to do business with Amazon Retail, AWS, Amazon Business, etc. A strong candidate will have experience with designing and building secure, distributed systems that operate globally. They will have experience in building on AWS, and be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation that will provide availability, and latency guarantees. Finally, they will be leaders on the team, and will raise the bar for the organization by mentoring junior engineers, interviewing and setting a high bar for coding standards.
