Working under the direction of the Engineer - Senior Team Lead 3, will be responsible for developing MATLAB's next generation interactive data tools; creating UI design to develop innovative data analytics tools for MATLAB; working on existing MATLAB interactive data analytics tools; developing requirements for new features through customer interviews and usability tests; developing User Interface (UI) designs through prototypes and collaborative design reviews; collaborating on appropriate architecture and implementing the designs; participating in team activities including Agile planning, design discussions and reviews; and communicating designs, plans, and ideas throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Science and no experience.

OR

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in web UI development using JavaScript.

Special Requirements:

* Demonstrated expertise in object oriented programming using Dojo and JavaScript according to JavaScript coding standards and using MATLAB according to MATLAB coding standards; and programming in MATLAB, Java, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
* Demonstrated expertise performing end-to-end development using JavaScript frameworks -- Dojo and React -- and back-end development using MATLAB and Java; and applying object oriented design and SOLID patterns to write JavaScript and MATLAB code.
* Demonstrated expertise debugging JavaScript UIs and analyzing JavaScript memory and performance using Chrome Developer tools.
* Demonstrated expertise performing version control using Perforce and build and release management using Maven continuous integration platform; and in Agile task management using JIRA and Confluence.
