Job Description

Wyng is a marketing platform for brands and agencies to build and run digital campaigns that drive participation and elevate consumer influence. We powered the first Super Bowl hashtag commercial in 2011. Since then, we've continued to evolve our platform to align with shifts in consumer behavior through a robust library of campaign templates. We help brands create communities, what we call tribes, bound by affinity and connection. Wyng is headquartered in New York City.

As a Software Engineer, you will join a fast-paced, agile, and passionate product development team. As a startup, we are innovating everyday and you will too. We have been early adopters of many cutting-edge technologies, such as ReactJS, Elasticsearch, Docker, AWS Kinesis and Lambda. You will never run out of learning opportunities. We build new applications in micro-service architecture with scaling and reliability in mind. Some tools we are currently using include Python, JavaScript, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Docker, AWS, and Datadog.

Responsibilities:

* Build scalable web services and APIs using Flask (Python) and Nginx
* Build fully responsive web applications using ReactJS (JavaScript)
* Build database models (both in MySQL and MongoDB) that fit business needs
* Deliver working products that meet business requirements on time

Are you a fit?

* You have 0 - 2 years of experience building web applications
* You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
* You love coding and never get tired of doing it
* You enjoy solving the hardest problems and never give up
* You are always eager to learn what you don't yet know
* You are passionate about owning the product you build
* You are self-motivated and know what drives you to deliver and learn
* You are comfortable with working on a fast-paced team, and embrace new challenges
