Description:The Submersibles & Sensors market segment is anticipating the need for a highly skilled Software Engineering Lead to join our rapidly growing team in Marion, MA. This role would support the next phase of development for a Buoyant Wire Antenna system that is anticipated to be awarded in June 2019.

The candidate needs to be very strong technically and have significant experience planning and executing a software development effort. Efforts will include development of command and control software applications that typically relate to image processing, control algorithms, system control, built-in test, and system communication. Efforts will also include development of operator interfaces/UIs.

The candidate would lead the software effort to develop, maintain, and enhance software based upon documented requirements and should be capable of working individually, collaboratively with other developers, and as part of a larger engineering team. Responsible for creating and maintaining preliminary and detailed level software design products. Develops, reviews and tests software components for adherence to the requirements and documents test results. Documents and resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides inputs to system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS)/Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in place of new development.

Basic Qualifications:

* Prior experience with the development of application layer software using a high level programming languages (C, C++,C#)
* Prior experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (e.g. VxWorks, QNX, Windows Embedded)
* Experience with UI development, tools, design patterns
* Experience with source control SW (e.g. Git, Subversion, ClearCase)
* Experience with Workflow/Issue tracking SW (e.g. JIRA, GitFlow, ClearQuest)
* Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, unit test, integration, and verification
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with and present technical scope within a team and to senior leadership and customers
* Superb written skills and prior experience developing technical artifacts for DoD type programs
* Prior experience developing materials for and presenting at technical reviews related to SW (SSR/PDR/CDR/TRR)
* Ability to travel to support customer meetings and onsite integration (CONUS/OCONUS)

Desired Skills:

* Familiarity with Windows Software Development (e.g. Windows SDK)
* Familiarity across Host Operating Domains (e.g. Windows, Linux)
* Familiarity with Linux Development (e.g., SUSE Linux and Red Hat)
* Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (Eclipse, Tornado, Visual Studio/Express)
* Experience generating and maintaining program software documentation
* Familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML)
* Capability to establish and track schedules and budgets related to software development
* Experience with military customers, vendors, and subcontractors for major components or sub-systems
