The Microsoft 365 admin center team builds the administrative experience for all Microsoft 365 commercial users. Millions of monthly active administrators and partners depend on this website to run their business and manage their tenants. We are invested heavily in modern web development, experimentation, and large scale azure services. Our open, friendly, and agile team culture will ensure you can learn and grow fast. As we invest more in Microsoft 365, we are building a platform that can be used by other teams to plug in their administrative experiences into the same surface so our customers can get a streamlined experience. We are hiring support engineers embedded within the engineering team to work on customer escalations that support cannot fix, and to interface with the engineering team to fix systemic issues.

Required Qualifications:

At least 1-2 years of industry experience in software development.

Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent work experience

Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues

Qualifications:

Proven history of customer obsession, including blog posts, how-to videos, etc.

Certification in Microsoft and/or competing cloud technologies strongly preferred. Can include MSCE in cloud platform and infrastructure, core infrastructure, mobility or productivity.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

To support this charter, we are looking for candidates that can lead engineering investigations to bring resolutions to support incidents impacting our customers. These engineers will also be expected to be able to contribute to product fixes in addition to developing a wide range of support tools for use by the organization. These escalations are expected during business hours and you will work with the engineering team to fix issues.
