In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our multi-site Junos engineering team members to share and learn best engineering practices, as well as actively contribute to build product from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Junos Software Engineering team, and will be involved in design, development, integration, test, and support of enterprise switching networking software supporting highly distributed systems. The deliverables including starting from designing, developing and delivering manageability of the switch, interfacing with L2 Control Plane protocols to personality conversion of switches running Junos.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS or MS in CS, EE or equivalent
* Must be proficient in: C/C++, Python
* Must have knowledge of layers of the TCP/IP stack
* Must have experience developing, debugging, and deploying application on Linux operating systems.
* Good verbal & written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of L2 Control Protocols such as LACP, LLDP, and/or 802.1BR is a plus
* Programming knowledge with inter-process communication and distributed systems is a plus
