Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for developing tools to facilitate the analysis and exploration of signals and signal processing algorithms within the MathWorks product family; enhancing MathWorks products, designing, developing and implementing world class signal analysis algorithms and apps for use by engineers worldwide; developing algorithms and apps for use with MATLAB and Simulink; making signal analysis fast, easy to access, interpret, customize and integrate throughout the engineering workflow; gathering customer requirements and translating them into software advancements; establishing release goals, creating functional and architectural specifications, implementing and testing new software functionality; engaging application examples of software; and working with partners and customers, quality engineers, technical writers and usability specialists throughout the software development process to ensure solutions become a solid and lasting foundation for MathWorks customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science and no experience.

OR

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience designing and writing algorithms for signal processing and analysis.

Special Requirements:

* Demonstrated expertise designing and developing optimized perception algorithms using linear and non-linear state estimation techniques for autonomous systems.
* Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB, Simulink and C++, including object oriented programming in MATLAB.
* Demonstrated expertise developing virtual simulation tools to simulate autonomous systems.
* Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end application development -- from GUI design to back end design in Python or C++.
