Most SDMs spend 8 hours a week recruiting--dreaming candidates grew on trees, another 8 grinding through technical execution--dreaming they had a Sr. SDE and, most importantly, dreaming that their boss is a rock star, with time to coach them. Great news! The Alexa Customer Awareness & Activity team is different. We're fully staffed, have a great blend of mid to Sr. SDE's and your future boss knows where to spend his time and that's investing in your and your team's growth.

The Customer Awareness & Activity team is charged with getting more Alexa Shopping customers and has a blank canvas to explore. You'll bring your ideas, work closely with product managers, and flesh out what we build. To excite you, here are some of our current projects:

* Using AWS to build high TPS services to educate customers on Alexa Shopping by showing content on every page on Amazon.com and in every e-mail Amazon sends
* Using Machine Learning to figure out how to get the biggest bang for our buck on our incentive spending, by only providing incentives to customers we've inferred will act on the incentive
* Using bar raising design and architecture to build progressively cheaper novel experiences for customers like allowing customers to donate to charity, and to send gifts to their friends and family
