The Amazon Nonfiction team is changing the way readers find and experience nonfiction books. In this position, you will work on building innovative solutions to increase customer interest, discovery, and engagement with nonfiction. Our work includes improvements in the Amazon store worldwide, as well as on Kindle devices.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building innovative, exceptional quality, scalable software to create a great experience for our Kindle customers. As a Software Development Manager, you will grow our world-class team of software engineers by identifying and hiring top talent to define, drive, and execute on this vision. You will drive the development and delivery of software systems through the entire product life cycle, from prototyping through development and into general availability. You will grow and develop a team of highly motivated and talented individuals that can collaborate across disciplines including Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and SDEs. You will tackle problems that span a variety of domains: customer experience, store, search, machine learning, and distributed systems.
