We are looking for a Software Dev Manager to lead algorithms and customer facing aspects of Amazon's Choice recommendations. Amazon's Choice is an integral part of the voice shopping experience as it recommends one great product from our vast selection when a customer asks for it. In addition, Amazon's Choice helps customers shop on desktop and mobile, by recommending highly rated, well priced products that are proven to deliver low customer regret and are ready to ship immediately. On a daily basis, we recommend millions of products, and simplify purchase decisions for millions of customers, all over the world. By recommending high quality products, Amazon's Choice ensures customers love what they buy, and come back to shop for more, leading to an unstoppable flywheel.

In this role as the Software Dev Manager for Amazon's Choice, you will own the algorithms that drive recommendations at scale. You will define what "quality" means for customers, build mechanisms to measure it, and design initiatives to drive it with a dedicated software team. You will partner with Applied Science, PM and Economists to design cutting edge ML models, design experiments and deep dive into data at an unprecedented scale. This role requires a combination of outstanding customer understanding, business judgment, strategic thinking, curiosity and love for data driven decisions to innovate on behalf of our customers. The Software Dev Manager will have strong cross-functional skills and will be comfortable working in an agile environment with business, design, marketing, PR, legal and product teams. You will have proven track record of building partnerships and driving successful efforts with teams outside of your org. You will also have a portfolio of analytical/algorithmic products that raise-the-bar from an innovation, usability, and brand growth stand-point. You should be a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion. This is a highly visible role and you will lead discussions with senior leadership in Alexa Shopping and across Retail teams.We are seeking the industry's best to help us create scalable system designs and implementation.
