Job Description

Do opportunities to work on never-solved-before problems excite you?

Are you interested in scaling challenges that are constantly evolving?

Would you like to deliver real value to customers while growing an exemplary team?

AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is looking for a Software Development Manager to own a set of critical services in EC2 that enable Internet, VPN, and Direct Connect to function for customers. You will be responsible for growing the service to handle new use-cases and new scale. You will grow a team of strong engineers and guide them through their careers. You will have a significant voice in the technical and business direction of the service and the team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about finding the right solution for each challenge. This leader has experience delivering high quality technical products or services in an environment with shifting priorities. The ideal candidate is a leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence within a team. EC2 operates at very large scale and on critical workloads, so a passion and discipline around operational excellence is key. A high level of ownership and accountability is a must. As EC2 continues to grow and evolve, this area is central to our ability to exceed the expectations of our customers.
