The Directed Work team is responsible for building the systems that automate and orchestrate the physical work processes that occur inside all of AWS' global datacenters. We are looking for an experienced software development manager who is excited about building industry leading, next generation work experience systems for the AWS cloud on the AWS cloud. You will be part of the team that architects, designs, and implements highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees. This is a hands-on position where you will be leading and mentoring a team of our best engineers. You need to not only be a top manager with a good track record of delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and customer focus. Build the AWS Directed Work control plane. Be responsible for the team and control plane technology that allows our customers to manage directed worker processes, resource availability, and skill levels. This position is also responsible for the documentation management (creation, storage and approval workflow) for directed worker training materials and task execution instructions.
