Our Amazon Web Services (AWS) engineering team helps customers to understand AWS pricing. We're looking for a Software Development Manager who can help to lead a transformation, as we scale our infrastructure to handle a large forecasted growth of AWS price points, plus add support for AWS China (business unit). The team's back-end architecture is a modern, serverless, configuration-driven arrangement, and we're well positioned to innovate. The team's front-end web experiences are also configuration-driven, to handle the scale and complexity of AWS services.

We're looking to hire a manager because the previous manager is becoming a skip-level manager in a different part of Amazon, a great development that's typical of career opportunities/growth here at Amazon! We're looking for somebody to put her/his stamp on the organization and build the future. We want an engineering leader who's not only passionate about scaling back-end systems but also is passionate about the customer experience. In this role, you'll participate in defining your team's roadmap, directly hire and coach engineers, and advise and validate your team's architecture, to ensure you believe in the architecture your team is building. You'll also build relationships with key stakeholders.
