Overview

The Zebra Specialty Printing Group is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the cloud platform team. This team of developers is responsible for developing centralize print management applications along with cloud accessible APIs for the Zebra Link-OS line of printers. The Software Engineering Manager provides hands on technical leadership to the team, including development, testing strategy, design reviews, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

* Directs and controls the activities of a department /team in a functional discipline within a product group, division, sub-region or country.
* Contributes to the development of policy innovation and integrated business solutions. Manages programs and/or product development initiatives.
* Develops and establishes operational policies within area managed, and delegates assignments. Accountable for and contributes towards profitability and/or cost containment by indirectly impacting the P&L through Account, Product Line, Research and Development, Operations or functional management.
* Develops and implements programs/solutions to improve processes, reduce costs and cycle time, and improve customer service
* Internally recognized leader who exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
* Significant knowledge in function, product, technology service, strategy, and business complexities in order to contribute to the development of creative solutions in area of expertise

Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline
* Bachelor's with 6+ years of experience
* Masters with 4+ years of experience
* Experience leading Scrum or XP agile teams
* Experience working with Java and Javascript.
* Experience architecting, designing, and developing cloud based applications.
* GCP experience, or similar cloud based offerings.
* Familiarity or experience with microservices, Kubernetes and CI/CD is desired.
