Each day, hundreds of thousands of customers make billions of transactions worldwide on our cloud. They harness the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable innovative applications, websites, and businesses. The AWS Security team owns security for all of these services offered by AWS, including EC2, S3, and many others. Our team works with the many AWS teams to solve security challenges at massive scale. We enable trust by building services that meet the security goals of our customers, from compliance to analysis. We use and innovate on technologies that can raise the security bar for all services offered by AWS, and perform massive-scale data analysis.

Our team is looking for a highly intelligent software development manager to join us and help us continue to raise the security bar for cloud computing. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex software systems, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about delivering results. You should be passionate about solving security hurdles in innovative ways. We do not desire to simply produce good software here at AWS Security... we want to produce disruptive, history changing innovations.

As a leader of the team, you will own the architecture and vision for the products. You will work closely with partner teams in AWS Security to ensure the needs of our customers are clearly understood and effectively addressed. You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive key engineering and business decisions that achieve the right outcomes.

Successful candidates for this position must have experience in growing and coaching a highly qualified team of software engineers. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to Think Big to develop a plan and invent mechanisms that scale to meet the broad and diverse needs of AWS Security customers. You will have a strong customer obsession, working to deeply understand the needs of your customers and relentlessly looking to improve their experience and make them more productive.
