Amazon is re-inventing its close process to produce daily financial results. To make it possible, Amazon's Finance Technology (FinTech) team will redesign the accounting close to provide businesses the financial insights they need throughout the month. This team will build a platform to ingest billions of near real-time business and finance events, and use that to generate financial insights and intelligence.

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the effort of designing and building this large-scale ingestion, computation and prediction engine to delight our customers across the globe. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys dealing with complexities/ambiguities of building new systems. In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching a team of software developers to build world-class software solutions that support Amazon's global footprint. You must be willing to insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance. You will ensure that engineering best practices are followed and that software is designed to be highly available, scalable, and resilient to failures.

You will drive architectural and design choices and invent new features.
