Job Description

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the Amazon Influencer Team on our mission to revolutionize how customers discover and shop on Amazon.

The social media revolution has created a new segment with the power to influence our shopping behaviors. Influencers are either famous in their own right (sports, music, movie stars, authors) or are social media stars, but they all have one thing in common - they are taste makers with hundreds of thousands or millions of followers. If we look at our own purchase history, we will probably find that many of our purchases - whether electronics, clothing, cars - came from an online endorsement from an individual we admire.

The Amazon Influencers Program's partnership with Influencers is multi-fold. We use endorsements from Influencers to provide shopping inspiration and recommendations to customers on Amazon. We provide Influencers tools to build rich websites and blogs. We enable Influencers to monetize from the program by referring traffic to Amazon. We connect influencers with brands, as brands are increasingly adopting marketing strategies that incorporate a wide range of influencers to drive sales. To enable this, we build rich front end experiences, highly scalable back end systems, and will be leaning heavily on ML models.

Key Responsibilities:

* Hiring, mentoring, and retaining a best-of-class engineering team
* Interfacing with customers, partner teams and product management to understand requirements, set priorities and communicate direction and progress.
* Owning all operational metrics and support for the team's software.
* Managing the agile development process and methodology to deliver incremental value to customers.
* Helping develop long-term development and business technology strategies.
* Defining strategic and tactical technical investments, effectively balancing technology with business value.
