The Alexa Personality team is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to build and lead a new technical team focused on new products and experiences.

We are seeking a seasoned leader with experience recruiting, building and developing high-performing teams. In this role, you will shape the long-term technical vision and instill operational excellence from design through execution and operation. The ideal candidate possesses superior analytical abilities, product judgment and excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. He or she is customer-minded and passionate about delivering world-class features to users.

Specific Responsibilities include the following:

* Build a technical team that owns development, quality and technical project management.
* Lead your team in exploring and defining the technical design for a brand new and novel customer experience.
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the team within an Agile/Scrum environment as you build.
* Launch and iterate across multiple devices and countries, starting with rapid experimentation and iteration
* Own and continuously reduce operational load
* Manage departmental resources, staffing and mentoring
* Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management
