The software solution evaluates our customer's history of engagement with Amazon.com to deliver recommendations coordinated across multiple high-visibility locations on and off the retail website, that will encourage new experiences, building loyalty and encouraging deeper engagement. This is a high-profile initiative that is key to the growth of Amazon's core business.
We are currently looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our core solutions team focused on low-latency decision making and configuration management tools. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer experience and delivering high quality services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly. You excel at leading developers, and have a track record of building strong engineering teams. You've had success leading operational services and are ready to apply that experience at even greater scale.
In this role you will:
* Manage a team of high caliber Software Engineers working on building world class, scalable distributed systems * Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments within an Agile/Scrum environment * Lead design, architecture, process and development discussions * Work closely with Product Managers to set priorities and to develop time/cost estimates. * Own all operational metrics and support for your team's software * Drive improvements in software engineering practices across engineering teams * Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach Software Development Engineers at different levels of experience
