At our office in Stockholm, Intel has a development team specialized in advanced data communication focusing primarily on wireless communication such as LTE and 5G. We are now expanding our research and development in the Intelligent Networking domain which targets to bridge how wireless networks behaves with the application side that uses the network. This in turn allows for better user experience in areas such as media streaming and cloud gaming, as well as more efficient usage of the networks.
We are therefore looking for a Master Thesis students to explore new ideas around machine learning models for intelligent networks. This includes using our in-house tools to collect and analyze data, develop algorithms and study improvements in model behavior. We have a set of tasks that can be explored and there is some flexibility in what challenge, direction and approach one can take.
An overview of the technology base can be found at:
* Master student in computer science, math, statistics, physics or similar * Good understanding for data analysis and modelling
Preferred qualifications:
* Prior knowledge in machine learning and/or data communication * Experience with modelling tools such as Matlab/Octave, Python or similar * Experience with software development such as C/C++, Java or similar
Inside this Business Group
The Data Center Group (DCG) is at the heart of Intel's transformation from a PC company to a company that runs the cloud and billions of smart, connected computing devices. The data center is the underpinning for every data-driven service, from artificial intelligence to 5G to high-performance computing, and DCG delivers the products and technologies-spanning software, processors, storage, I/O, and networking solutions-that fuel cloud, communications, enterprise, and government data centers around the world.
