Duration: 6 months

The Build and Test (BaT) team is looking for a motivated, fast-learning candidate with experience in Java web development and an interest in building applications using a variety of technologies. You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic software development team that is constantly solving new and challenging problems. We develop several web based applications that are the backbone of a development process that is continuously evolving so we need to quickly evolve our applications to keep up; and we need your help to do that!

Responsibilities

You will get to work on projects and gain experience in the following areas:

* Developing web-services/applications to support the development teams
* Updating legacy applications and integrating those applications with new technologies
* Interacting with users via our internal support system
* Working on tools to support our Development process so you will also get exposure to different types of development processes and making tools to support them

This position offers the opportunity to get a broad view of different kinds of software development and software tools. If you are looking to broaden your skill set in the software and web development world then this position is for you!

Minimum Qualifications

* Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree in a technical discipline.

Additional Qualifications

* BS/MS in engineering, computer science or math
* Experience with object-oriented design and implementation in Java
* Experience with server side programming in Java
* Ability to work on a team
* Flexibility to take on varied tasks
* Experience with MATLAB a plus
* Experience with Perl, Python, Unix a plus
